Achievements not unlocking

I just bought the game on steam. I used to own a pirated copy but decided i want to support the devs. The game started on my pirated save but i reset it and started again. Anyway im playing through and although ive unlocked some achievements in-game they havent unlocked through steam. It kinda sucks for me as i usually like to go for achievements...

If the devs are indeed blocking achievements after having pirated the game that is not ok at all. It wouldn't surprise me since they added other silly and easily removeable things such as changes to training names.

I would just refund it in that case, been doing this for over 25 years, long before gaming became a dirty business for dishonest people.

Piracy is a necessary evil, i will say the game is nice and i was planning on buying it as well.

Try removing all your old files.

I should have removed this post as i fixed the issue but ill keep it up for others as you provided the right answer. I fixed it by doing this
C:\Users\(USER)\AppData\Local\Game Dev Tycoon - Steam
and deleting the local storage folder and reinstalling the game.

As for your stance towards piracy I agree. I usually dont mind pirating triple A games but for a small game like this i feel like buying it was the right thing to do.

this doesnt work for me. got another fix?
