C'mon devs, just give us a "yes we're still working on it" post!!
"I received a fairly angry but honest email a while back raising similar points from someone. Might as well post some of my reply here too:
Our communication with our fans has been woefully inadequate and I totally understand how the game appears dead. I promise, it isn't! This is my fault. I have failed to keep our newsletter and social media alive. I have failed to post blogposts and updates. Our Patreon was not meant as a paywall for any info but as a behind-the-scenes look that would encourage us to post more unfiltered material, which we thought we could then compile/rework for more frequent public updates. Unfortunately, due to both process issues and technical issues (our newsletter would require at least a week of work to restart), this never eventuated.
I know this isn't working well and that a status update is long long overdue but any time I want to address it, other more pressing issues require my attention and I keep moving it off.
This is not to excuse this or even justify the behavior, I'm just explaining what is happening.
We fully intend to be better at this, our game won't be successful without our fans/supporters after all but we also feel that after such a long time, we need to make sure that the game is worthy of the attention we hope to attract.
Sorry that we have been so bad at communicating and thanks again for the honest feedback.
