Half Sword

Half Sword

should they add multiplayer.
because if you ask me in my opinion it's pretty boring playing by myself since I have been playing for a few days.

Maybe you're doing the wrong thing if you're bored... And since you're bored, just imagine how game physics should work online, especially if the game wasn't originally designed for it. Just think about it: every movement of every object should be transmitted from your PC to the server, and from the server to your PC and your opponent's PC with sufficient precision, and all in fractions of a second. What kind of latency will there be, what kind of synchronization will there be? It would be pure hell for the devs, and I don't wish it on them, even though I'd be happy to lock them in the basement and force them to play their own game. And not just play, but so that their gameplay doesn't look like a drunken peasant brawl, so that they damn well try to recreate the battle for real, despite all the bugs and flaws in physics and controls. So that I would look at this and think - "Wow, this looks impressive and not like what usually happens in this game". But in reality they won't succeed and they will just casually wave their weapons around until the end of time...

Very true. I suspect anything much higher than 20 ms would already start turning the whole thing into madness.

And that is before we even get to the community side of it. This place is already full of drama with single-player physics. If they somehow use dark magic to add proper multiplayer, the real battles - with thousands dead and wounded - will be happening right here.

I won't even comment on the fact that this has already been discussed here so many times it could probably qualify as forum folklore by now.

Of course there have been more dramatic things in my life... But within the framework of my life in halfsword, there is nothing more dramatic than the inability to deliver truly hard blows and Willie's death from gentle touches. If I could die from cringe, I probably would have already died along with poor Willie, who got a scratch on his left buttock and was screaming as if he was being torn apart...

And a little folklore wouldn't hurt, or even a lot. I think it would be nice if the disappearance of the original Willie became local folklore. Maybe it brings the community a little closer together, and you might even become my friend, even though I wouldn't mind killing you during a physics discussion. For some reason, it seems to me that your nickname sounds like German, is this intuition not deceiving me?

Just a question, does this mod allow you to play on two separate PCs?
