Lock on?

Can someone describe what lock on truly does i've been messing around with it and im not entirely sure on how it works.

I'm not sure, maybe it helps a little with more precise operations like stabbing, like with a pitchfork or spear.

not sure how much the slider affects it but its definitely there and helps my camera face toward the enemy, cause they certainly love circling me

i notice when using the lock on , the circle is dead center of the screen , at least it looks like that to me and it doesn't seem to lock on to anything as far as i can tell. i am enjoying the game a lot.

it give like around 30-50% ish making so that when you hover with your mouse it doesnt orientate your camera.
you can change how strong the lockon is
