Stabbing and swing angles?

So my dude stabs like a baby it is ineffective
my biggest complaint tho is not being able to chose which side of the weapon to swing.
got a billhook thingy but I'm only swinging the Hook side
which isn't helping most times.

love the game so far tho

agreed,being able to pick which side to swing would be nice

The ability to change the orientation your weaponry is facing is a WIP and will be added in the future.

stabbing is tricky to get used to, i'd recommend holding left mouse and position your weapon at the forward ready (directly in front of you tip facing the enemy) then holding alt and pressing forward, once you let go of alt it will return and press alt again and it will stab as fast as possible, don't use double click to stab because its slow. the shorter the distance between the stab and your previous position the shorter amount of time to get to the stab position obviously. But you can even use alt to strike by putting your weapon in a position off to the side like ox guard etc and when you press alt you will snap your weapon forward as you do so let go of alt to add more momentum to the strike, also i'd recommend temporarily turning off lock on aim, it lets you actually aim where to stab although you have to get used to it because if you just hold down the attack key you can't really turn and aim quickly so get used to not pressing left mouse and turning if the enemy moves off line, try turning up sensitivity. When half swording you'll only be able to stab them by turning where they are to your left so don't try to stab them if they are in front of you while half swording. try pressing f to turn off lock on though it definitely helps with stabbing ironically because you can get a feel for and control where you actually stab, just test it out and see where you stab relative to your camera position then try to align yourself so that you will hit different areas, when using alt and left mouse move up with the mouse to stab and back to pull the weapon back, you can do cool attacks like having your sword to the top left of where it can be then pressing alt to move to stab and pull back rapidly to do a slash across their neck, I've even decapitated a few people this way.

You can also hit with the backside if you half sword and swing left while standing to their right.
