FATAL ERROR! -- A fix for the crashing problem on Half Sword
I think i just found a potential FIX for the crashing issues with the Half Sword Demo!

I'm pretty sure the game crashes because it DOESN'T ALLOW ENOUGH VIDEO MEMORY WHEN YOU PLAY! (especially on later levels with more armor and stuff flying around, high graphics settings, etc)

When i was playing GTA4 on PC for the first time I had a similar problem, the game kept crashing because it didnt allow enough Video Memory, and i know i have 12G of ram so it shouldnt have been a problem in that case

The solution was to use a COMMAND LINE in the Steam game settings to allow the ram usage and play the game without crashing

Well I used that same exact commandline for Half Sword and I think it fixed it!
-----------------------------------

[1] First find out how much Video Memory you have
I have 12G so thats about 12000MB of video memory (This is important)

[2] Now that you have your number, Right-click Half Sword on Steam, go to Properties and head to 'Launch Options'

[3] Type these commands:
(replace '12000' with Your video memory, in my case it's around 12000)

-dx11 -availablevidmem 12000 -nomemrestrict -norestrictions

...no commas, just spaces between each

This fixed my crashing issues at least for now, and i hope it fixes yours!
Hopefully the Developers see this message and Pin it, IDK how steam discussions work

Someone posted that simply changing dx12 to dx11 in settings fixed crashes, it seems to work; I was on dx11 to begin with, changed it to dx12 and started crashing. I'd say that's all that needs to be done. Thanks for trying to help people, even those too lazy to post their specs or even simply search discussions before posting.

edit: yeah still crashes if you change dx11 to 12 in those launch paramaters

This did nothing for me, im still crashing every 1-2 rounds, its getting ridiculous now
Thanks for posting - I tried this with dx11 and dx12 but it was still crashing. (I have 12G vid ram too). What worked for me was completely turning off blood and gore. I was able to complete the Ultimate challenge without the "Fatal Error!" popping up and ruining it.

Are there any other command line switches we can try?
