First boss is a horrible RNG fest

Weapons on the ground are useless, trying to pick them up kills you. All you can do is wrangle him in melee. Get kicked too often and you fall to the ground and die. You must pray that the AI tries swinging the axe repeatedly and rarelly kicks or its over. Its a difficult fight with no skill involved, just prayer.

He's annoying, but you can consistently one-shot him with a two-handed knife thrust while sprinting forward after he swings his axe.

You can increase the damage against enemies in the options and reduce the damage you take, I find the beggar rank so boring now that I do that there and reset the damage again at the next rank.

first boss is the real barrier before the final boss. Once you're past that, you can use axes to get yourself most of the way to the end

I kill him almost every time.
Paddle, lantern,Knife, Iron gloves
Even managed to do it with bare hands.

A weapon is just as good as the wielder is.

How easy he is kinda depends on RNG and what weapons spawned, sure. And sometimes you get hit by an unlucky blow and cut in half. But you can pretty consistently beat him with any weapons with some practice.

don't run straight at the weapons to grab, go in a circle so he aint right there, the dagger can 1 shot if u stab.

Just use slow mo, try to bait him into attacking and go for them. Things like armour (SPECIALLY helmets) and blunt weapons have priority. What i do is focus on his arms to throw the axe off.
