Intro

There's lots of misunderstandings about the new update! You might dislike like it for other reasons, but if you dislike your favorite mode being removed, fear not, they are all accessible. The UI can probably be improved to help player not miss modes!

You can play 3 different game modes now! Free Mode, Gauntlet Mode, and what I call Purgatory Mode.

Modes

Gauntlet Mode: this loads when you boot up the demo. This is the new game mode that was added this update.

Free Mode: There is a button on the bottom right when in gauntlet mode in the main menu, that says "free mode." Click that to enter what WAS the playtest. Now, you are limited to the characters you unlock in gauntlet mode, but once you unlock them you have them for good.

Purgatory Mode: Some people preferred the gameplay of the old demo and many think it's been removed. But you can click on your character in the main menu to deal damage to them. If you keep clicking and kill them, you'll enter purgatory mode!

Tips

Beating the First Grete Champion: You can beat him with just fists, but there is a knife on the ground in the middle of the pit. It's easy to miss! If you want to take him down with fists I recommend grabbing onto him with one of your hands and punching with the other. Carefully timed kicks and get him on the ground, but be careful as soon as you become unbalanced and fall over, you're probably dead. Grabbing can also be helpful if you have the knife.

Arrow Time: They have added slow motion to the game! It seems to consume your stamina, and it's default bind is F. Medieval Max Payne it up!
