Here are some tips I learn playing, it may help you:
- Avoid getting too close to the enemy if you are not ready to counter his attacks
- Try using long reach two handed weapons or dual power stance (one small/medium weapon on each hand)
- If an enemy get too close try to keep distance, wait for his attack first then go in
- Remember to keep ir your weapon ready, enemies will stop and wait instead of just rushing on you attacking
- Try to hit the enemy hands, sometimes you can disarm them easily if you manage to get a shot
- Try to find a weapon that you are confortable with, try to learn how it work, what movement hit (for me are axes, long axes, maces, halberd, scythe, or using combination of them on each hand)
- Get as much armor as possible, I only managed to the a good attempt on the 4º Boss (almost killed him) because I managed to find torso and arms armor which help a lot
- Try to learn how to throw a weapon, its hard, I've been pretty bad at it but I managed to get some sweet shots but they do have some pro and cons
- Always have backup weapon on your belt so if you lose grip after getting hit, just run away and equip your backup and GG
- You can HEAL in the game if you just wait some time, lets say an enemy attack your arm and its all weak and hurt, just keep running for sometime that the arm will heal back slowly so you can manage to use the weapon properly again
- If you REALLY dont want to deal with spear guys, just run to the other direction, they usually despawn so you can have a less hard enemy to fight
- if you still having an hard time, just lower the difficult of the game on the config menu, there is no need to suffer if you not having fun
- You could use 2 short shield/buckler as extra armor if you sheath/keep one of them on each side of your body, I managed to not die sometimes just because the enemies tried to attack my hips and got deflected/protected by those shields.
How the waves work from bosses 1 to 4:
- 1º Boss (Scythe) is easy enemies, the best weapon to use on the boss I would suggest the 2 hand halberd you can find on enemies or barrels.
- 2º Boss (3x bosses, 1 sword and 2 long axe) things start to get harder, but since you defeated the first boss his weapon can pretty much help you get to the 4º Boss if you manage to control it, you also will get better weapons and starting to get torso armor/better helmet
- 3º Boss (3x bosses, 1 with more armor and long axe but still weak, 2x one hand sword and lantern's[?]), things will start to get harder the more you continue, now enemies can come in front and behind of your character at the same time and the boss will do the same so dont rush on the first red boss you see, first go around and wait for all of them to show up, then you will manage to fight better
- 4º Boss (1 guy with 2 massive persian greatswords and more armor, but arms are exposed) here you will definily find some pretty good armor, for arms and legs thats the crucial point, so take your time and try to get as much as possible before trying to fight this dude.
- 5º and last Boss, I have no idea, did not get that far yet and people say its hella hard, I have a theory where since everyone will be using armor, try to use 2hand weapons like long greatsword or maces since you can break bones and stun enemies with those weapons.
But yeah, hope I manage to help you (if you still have desire to play this game), good luck.
