A lot of problems.
So, the biggest problem. The physics.

Yeah, the main selling point of the game?

It's not good. In these sorts of games, you do not, under any circumstances, give EVERYTHING physics. The weapons at your hips, for example, as this will constantly lead to characters tripping over or, in certain cases, glitching out and leading to a literal explosion at the hip.

Boxes. For the love of christ, do not put things in boxes. When it is more reliably to throw the box over to get the things inside of it, it's pretty clear that it's just not a good idea.

Picking things up, just...in general. It's a nightmare in every case. Things need to be highlighted so I know what I'm actually going to be picking up, as most cases lead to a spamfest of E and Q to pray to the gods above that I actually get what I want.

Sheaths for swords. Jesus christ, no, for the love of god, no. The moment you get anything larger than a shortsword, those sheaths are literal death traps. Not only do they make you trip constantly, but pulling a sword out has a good 50% chance of sending you flying. God forbid you let go mid-pull out, it'll start to freak out.

Two handing polearms is just...No. Your second hand will constantly let go of the weapon for no particular reason, leading to weak swings or straight up misses.

Do you often write in-depth stuff like that for experimental demos or is that just a one time thing?
Just curious. :bern:

its ridiculously buggy though, it is hilarious to see people go flying when they draw weapons out of their sheathe, but its blood boiling when you are being chased by some farmer with a sickle and u cant even pick up a weapon because for some reason it takes 10 seconds to pick up an item, but only when you really need to. so its a trade-off of hilarious glitches and stuff that makes me wanna bite my monitor.

I mean, the point of a demo is to showcase the game early and get feedback on it. It's no different from an alpha or beta release.

We have other physics based games to pull from like Exanima and We Who Are About To Die. We should be striving to have the developers push for that level of cleaner physics combat.

This doesn't answer my question but alright. :lookofdisapproval:

I understand constructive critiscm, but all you're doing is just pointing and laughing at very obvious bugs that everyone deals with, and something that devs are probably dealing with.

Just stop trying to sound so angry over bugs/unfinished features everybody knows. I can give you the benefit of the doubt that you didn't know these were common bugs, or were just trying to push the devs to fix them, but posting about it in such a passive aggressive manner is a bit annoying.

I agree Burjer. What they're doing isn't constructive feedback it's just them complaining that the game isn't a fully released game yet, when it clearly states it's still in early development, hence the demo version. Just ignore them, they'll get tired and go to sleep eventually.

As soon as anyone starts using the words "We should" in a sentence, the shutters come down. Theres no "we" in your opinions. You haven't consulted anyone else on here.

Maybe part of the attraction is the janky physics.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
