Report a translation problem
It wasn't anything woke, though I can see how the removal of the sex scenes remove context as to why they gender swapped those characters (Saber, mostly) for this game...
if there really is a dialogue like that in the game, we riot!
to be fair there's never been fate official english version, we only had fan translations until now, the remastered is the first ever english official
now we could argue that some japanese could be translated like that but is a bit a of reach, there is only some lines where Rin belittles shirou but on the japanese lenguage you can do that way more respectfully than english
as for the fan translations, no, there never was such a line and I've been reading fate since the first release, the one with no voice acting just yet
my japanese is not that fluid, but again, to translate it like that you would need to be reaching a bit
I know, I'm merely pointing out that this game is anything but woke. If anything you could make a more believable argument that this game is sexist, because at a first glance basis, it can be that way.
Shirou constantly gets mad at Artoria for fighting on his behalf, and uses the fact that she's a woman as an excuse. Gilgamesh straight up views her as an object, and uses sexist remarks to mock her constantly, even at her lowest points. Now obviously this is just Shirou having poor wording problems, and Gilgamesh being a clear villain, but she really doesn't clap that back all very often, so it looks kinda bad. (Though when she does, she absolutely annihilates them, and I'm all there for it).
In any case, the story isn't sexist, but I could see why it could be viewed that way. On the other hand, I don't see any wokeness besides her being a genderbend. But like I said, she gets dogged on a lot, both verbally & physically due to the plot. Regardless of what you think of the genderbend, she's more than earned her way.
