Watch zero first, if you care at all about spoilers stay night spoils very important elements of Zero. Zero doesn’t spoil anything important in stay night either. If you prefer a darker grittier story that is going to more accurately depict what fate is trying to be please watch Fate/Zero. Stay Night is a harem vn masqueraded as a battle royale, don’t be gullible!

I’ve been a type moon fan for almost a decade. I’ve seen all of their notable works, read all their visual novels, etc. I even own figures of Sakura, Kohaku and Ryougi, however this isn’t it. It’s a horrible starting point that’s going to turn people away from the series. Ufotable’s adaptations are much better and start the viewer with Zero which is a much more realistic and less pandering story. Watch in ufotable release order.

Fate Zero is based on the original novel and assumes that the reader knows the plot of Stay Night. In addition, the events will develop in an escalating manner. It is immediately obvious that the author is anime only poser

It’s always better to go with the ufotable anime to get into the series. Fate/Zero > Unlimited Blade Works > Heavens Feel movies. They’re all available on the internet

you should read fate in release order, so start with the epic of gilgamesh first

/srs the vn came out first so read it first (esp now its officially translated theres no excuse not to)

That anime blew my mind with how great it was. Great holy grail war

Rest parts are pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weak
Its like zero is for adults while other stuff is for teens

And this coming from someone who plays and thinks about Fate every single day for years now :P
