there is an ultimate edition available called "Fate/Stay Night [Realta Nua] - Ultimate Edition"
https://forums.nrvnqsr.com/showthread.php/9101-Fate-Stay-Night-Realta-Nua-Ultimate-Edition-2022
This is a niche genre, hence why these games are also never dubbed into other languages
The majority of Japanese visuals novels are never translated and if they are it’s either into English or simplified Chinese
Please stop expecting AAA levels of localisation on a niche genre
I know, bro, but for the "Official REMASTERED" version, we only have English and Chinese. That's not normal.
It is normal for this genre. Go find me a visual novel translated into numerous European languages and come back to me
Good luck
Hell nah .
The same companies responsible for Fate/Grand Order have generated billions in revenue from the game.
It's no longer a niche market, and they definitely have the money to make it happen.
Fate grand order isn’t a visual novel so this comparison makes absolutely no sense whatsoever
Published by Aniplex and based on Type-Moon's works, the same teams behind this "Remastered" version clearly has the financial resources to create a translation in multiple languages.
Just because you have the money to translate a product into countless European languages doesn’t mean you should
The more translation work required, the higher the costs. When you’re selling a niche product you want to minimise costs, otherwise you aren’t going to make a profit.
Once again find me a visual novel sold in numerous European languages if you can
Fan translations aren’t going to work on the steam build.
Bro, supporting corporate greed and laziness
We're talking about Fate/stay night, arguably the biggest visual novel of all time not a random H-Visual Novel.
Yes they should definitely translate it into several European languages cause this is the official Wordwide realease.
I don't think this game will use the KiriKiri engine which the original game and all its translations are based on , so once again this means hours of hard work for the community
I’m not supporting anything. I’m simply telling you how business works
Once again visual novels are a niche, even very well known ones like steins gate only had a concurrent player peak of just over 1000. That’s nothing
The original fate stay VN is no where near as financially successful as you think. Everyone who played it in English didn’t pay for it.
Only the Japanese ever really paid for it, and it’s 20 years old, the gaming market was a lot smaller back then than it is now
The fact it’s never been officially localised into English until now should tell you all you need to know about how localising this is seen as a financial risk.
It’s only now that we’re living in a digitally distributed market that they’re willing to finally release this to the West
Great visual novel, an all time classic but don’t delude yourself into thinking this is going to sell millions. You can’t expect an AAA quality localisation here, sorry
