and i do hope someone will add an improved patch since, not only where some of the sex scene more fitting but there where also some horror and other stuff that i can't see them add to a non +18 game
however, maybe i remember wrong/confuse games since I read the Fan one years and years ago
lol, people hate censorship.
it has higher quality since non +18 also cut elements beyond h scenes
I played some game on steam and did not realise I did needed a restoration patch to had all the stuff BACK. I cannot express how infuriating it is if you played a censored game
to reexplain, at least myself, I only wanted to know if there will be such a patch to ensure I don't play a censored game. H scenes are a bonus, but such patches also re add horror elements, if not even gore, crudity, and more.
And of course, this include politically correction censorship that a lot of games suffer from since some self proclaimed activist, intentionally target games, anime, novel, with sex or sex them, just to censor them.
Best example is still jobless reincarnation Light Novel since fans managed to make the publisher understand they canon stand the censorship anymore
so of course people want to know more before buying a product.
if anything, why are you bothered that people inquirer about the quality and what it will contain of a product they intend to purchases? Especially since it had already removed part in the paste, of course people wish to know if they will be re added in a remastered version <- of course, as i already pointed out, this is exactly why the devs added that this will be based on the vita version
Why do people keep peddling this bullsh*t for years? This claim has as much credibility as Nasu hating Western fans.
Both Nasu and Takeuchi are horny as hell. No one would've made this claim if they can write good H scenes. But at least the art is pretty good.
Nasu has admitted in interview to being very embarrassed by some of his older content. It's a pretty sizable reason as to why Tsukihime was entirely rewritten lol
He admitted he kinda sucked at it so he went ahead and got another writer to write the H scenes in F/HA. Also H scenes being pure cringe in Tsukihime was never the reason for it to be rewritten. The remake was already considered as far back as in KT dude, way before all this cringe puritanism even surfaced.
Because its not bs, that's what plenty of VNS did back in the early 2000s. A lot of people from the industry, devs, artists, marketing Execs, even store owners, have talked about it over the years. Like, it's not a secret nor something that someone just pulled out of nowhere on 4chan one day like the Nasu hating westerns thing.
Kanon, Muv-Luv, and F/SN are some of the most famous VNs that were never intended to be Eroges, yet out of fear that they wouldn't sell, as back then like 99.9% of VNs were Eroges, they added H scenes to hook people.
Key, Kanon, Clannad, etc developers have been super clean and transparent that they did not like having to include H scenes in their older works, hence why they took them out on subsequent releases.
There's also the fact that all of those VNs that I mentioned share the exact same issue: The H scenes are both atrociously written, some like the F/SN ones are so bad they loop around and become comedies, and also come out of nowhere and feel hella forced. Gee, I wonder why?
Compare the H scenes of F/SN, Kanon or Muv-Luv to any actual Eroge from the time, like Rance, Doukyuusei, Discipline, just to name a few, and the difference in quality is day and night. Those were actually, from the get go, supposed to be Eroges, they were not an after thought nor just a marketing ploy.
1) Mechanically there was a purpose, in the Saber route, for Emiya and Saber to have sex. Emiya was not a mage and couldn't naturally replenish Saber's magical energies after using her NP. Sex was the only method stated. (Not saying this is fantastic piece of writing, but hey, Nasu's early days were strange for sure).
2) In Heaven's Feel, Sakura and Emiya having sex had meaning to the story itself and Sakura's growth (yes, growth...) as a character. Again, not the greatest literary move, but hey I've personally read worse.
All other scenes of intimacy was gratuitous, but it didn't hurt the game in any way.
Personally, I prefer to have them for the preservation of art. I'm not a fan of revisionism, even from the creators. If you are going to redo work, at least preserve the original and keep it available. It shows growth and the creator's own frame of mind at each place in their life. It is really important when viewing art.
Alas, it's all subjective in the end.
