100%. That's why I'm fully expecting fans to make a patch in the first day of the release lol. Although I guess it depends whether they use a new engine for this Remaster or not. If it's pretty much the same, I wouldn't be surprised if old patch works here lol.

The H-scenes themselves weren't the only thing that got censored. There was various dialogue that wasn't the same between the version as part of the change with the Realtua version some of it was to make some things lesser than they were intended to be.

I had a similar reaction to the H scenes in Muramasa. The H scenes there did not add much either. Though those often bummed me out. So there was that. Especially that first one. Oof.

Pretty much sure not only the H scenes would be censored The game has hardcore elements like blood and gore which will be removed for sure I will keep my downloaded full game ty no need for the steam inferior version

Well it depends on how you view H-scenes in general. If you use them as a simple wank material, then yea - they're whatever. But if you see them as character relationship development, then it becomes much more meaningful.

I like reading visual novels, but I'll admit right off the bat if it's a "romance" VN with no sex, I have no interest in reading it. To me its ridiculous to try to build romance that just ends with hand holding as if sex isn't a natural thing between couples. Super unserious and anticlimactic.

That's fair. I've only read the OG Tsukihime, but from what I've heard, even despite removing the H-scenes, they're still "implied" to have happened. Once I get to reading it (Steam port when?) I'll at least think of it that way lol.

As someone who has read the fate and ubw route, I can say that it certainly is not implied to have happened, at least in the ubw route. The scene in ubw is taken out and replaced with something else, there is no hint of sex. You could argue that there is an implied off screen sex scene in the fate route if you have disabled H content, but that's kind of shaky. This is why I tell people to play the fan patched version. So you can chose between having the sex scenes and echi content, or disable it if you want. As well as having the option between the old music or the new music, and the ability to decide which openings you want. You can even read it in it's native Japanese if you know how to speak it (But this version is also giving us the option to use the Japanese which is nice at least).

By the way I decided to read the sex scene in ubw and it is god awful. Talking about mixing her blood together with his semen, The mc acting out of character and saying how he wants to break her. How her anus is defenceless, etc. But hey it's there if you feel like reading it in the fan patched version.

I still don't understand how Rin was able to transfer her crest to Shirou, even though it was mentioned pretty early on that it could only be done to infant family members, and majority don't survive the process . Another reason why I thought original did it better, even despite all the memes lol.

From what I remember, she didn't actually transfer her crest to him, by them having sex, she basically linked her mana to him and created a temporary crest that allowed him to draw on her mana. As I understand it, it's similar to what mages do with the summoned servants, how they draw mana from their masters. IIRC familiars have something similar, but since they're so much lesser than Servants it's not a big deal. So she kinda made him a temporary familiar. That might not be the best explanation, but it's how I remember it.

Also, and I could be wrong here, but I do believe that during a Grail War, so with the help of the Grail, it was stated that Rin would be able to fully power at least 2 Servants. The girl has A LOT of magic power and a high number of circuits. Without the grail though, she can mostly sustain 1 servant, (though without help....mana from Shiro through sex) she'd most likely not have any left to use for herself. That's something not many people would be able to do at all.

1) Mechanically there was a purpose, in the Saber route, for Emiya and Saber to have sex. Emiya was not a mage and couldn't naturally replenish Saber's magical energies after using her NP. Sex was the only method stated. (Not saying this is fantastic piece of writing, but hey, Nasu's early days were strange for sure).

2) In Heaven's Feel, Sakura and Emiya having sex had meaning to the story itself and Sakura's growth (yes, growth...) as a character. Again, not the greatest literary move, but hey I've personally read worse.

All other scenes of intimacy was gratuitous, but it didn't hurt the game in any way.

Personally, I prefer to have them for the preservation of art. I'm not a fan of revisionism, even from the creators. If you are going to redo work, at least preserve the original and keep it available. It shows growth and the creator's own frame of mind at each place in their life. It is really important when viewing art.

Alas, it's all subjective in the end.

Maybe you left it out on purpose or just forgot, but in the UBW route, sex is used to create the connection for Shiro to use Rin's magic to fuel his Reality Marble. IIRC it was the only way they could because Shiro is busted, otherwise a different method could probably have been used. As much as it is an intimate and personal act, it also goes to show the lengths she's willing to go to as a Mage, something she prides herself on being ((and unless i'm mistaken, her family is suppose to be in charge of that area, which is also another aspect of her character that she holds strongly to)). (It doesn't hurt that she actually likes Shiro, especially at that point.) That may not be 'character development' as it's not something new to the reader, but it is definitely a reinforcement of an aspect of her character.

I'm pretty much in the exact same boat playing the Tsukihime remake rn (I can't quite frankly imagine where the H-scenes could even fit in its plot tbh), though I am a bit worried over just how much other stuff may be censored here, with (from what I understand) it being a remaster and not a remake like with Tsukihime, in which I assume the story was at least a bit re-written around that.

I recently saw the Arcueid sex scene in the og (you can't censor them, only skip foward if you're wondering). There are 3 H scenes in total for her. One near the beginning, one near a little over half way, and one near the very end.

I was talking about Tsukihime Remake here. I haven't read the remake myself, but I've seen several people mention how the screen fades to black and you can still think that something happened (especially if you read the OG and know when things happen).
