Director cut patch with r18 content?
Of course i am very happy that this game is coming out on Steam, but if there will be a patch then what's the point of playing the cut version?

Having a pissing contest between VN fandoms is the dumbest thing you can be doing.

i didn't actually intend that, but I suppose I should rephrase it as:
due to a lack of interest in modding the games from the muv luv community, nobody had made any public tools yet.
we got tools ready pretty soon after this remaster released, so there will definitely be a fan patch for this eventually.

The reality nua pc version had the h scenes in it just the psp or vita version had it removed bc handheld consoles of that gen were more for children back then and adults didn't use them until they were long long since been cancelled and no longer sold.

No it didn't. What you played was a fan-made patch that combined the content from the original 18+ version and Realta Nua. Have you never noticed that the H-scenes have zero voice acting?

It is not a fan made patch, since the H scenes are 1080p just like the rest of the realta nua art, if it was a fan made patch the H scenes would be lower resolution like the original novel release

The voice acting on the H scenes was never happening even on the orinigal release the seiyuus were against it specially saber seiyuu, she don't do H content

It is fan made. I have said patch. They upscaled the old scenes. I’m a lurker in the forums where they discuss & release said patch.

Yeah they are fan made upscales. I'm also in the forums as well and can attest to this.

I never played the game with sound anyways bc I only play vn's without sound bc I'm used to most vn's not having voice overs or narration where there should be voice overs. So I never knew it even had voice overs to begin with.

Exactly the same thing, except spelled differently, and I hate the second one. Older games used Artoria, and then they switched to Altria in a game with Altera available at launch as well.

Bad localisation team. Bad.

I get that is what the creator wants to use at this point, but I still won't. Simple as that. When there are multiple different translations for an IP, there will be people that prefer one over another.

Imo, "Altera" was also an unnecessary change from "Atilla," so....
At least "Altera" sounds better than "Atilla" for the character (since the latter makes me imagine a grizzled, bulky/muscular dude), whereas "Artoria" sounds waaaay better than "Altria," both in terms of sophistication and being faithful to the character's origins. Now, whether or not I would say the same thing if I has only known her as "Altria" or not, I cannot say for certain, but I'm pretty sure I'd still prefer "Artoria".

Oh wow the company made their games on consoles first instead of PC as a CHOICE. Almost like that was part of their vision as to what the game should be. Weird. They didnt add H scenes back in when they got released on PC. Weird. Its almost like they decided not to.
I'm pretty sure they release it on console first is to combat piracy rather than it being a creative choice for "the best possible experience to play Visual Novels." And as for removing H-scenes, consoles is a part of that, but I think it's more so that it reaches a larger market. A game exclusive for adults wont sell as well as one rated for teens to play, though that is dependent on the case but the fact remains that the market is still bigger.

That didn't do anything to combat piracy. I was able to pirate it the day of. Not that I did, but it was there.

All I know is that game companies release on console to make piracy harder. Idk about FSN since it already has several PC versions available, but you will usually have a hard time trying to pirate console exclusives, that is until they port it to PC. So I don't thinks its false to say game companies release on console first to combat piracy.

Consoles are / were simply more common in Japan. There is a PC audience, just less of one.

As far as content for console ports go, that has to do with age ratings and getting released in stores. Easier to publish on PC since you don't need to go through official companies (game publishers, retail stores, etc) the same way.

Just scroll down the list there and you might see a familiar company name. :P

I didn't know Type-Moon made doujin. I thought they just made the Fate series and Tsukihime series which are vn's. Isn't doujin usually hentai aka anime porn?

Fate/Stay Night & Tsukihime WERE doujins originally.
