This. Besides most of the absolutely braindead complaining that comes around from the change is from people failing to realize that the two spellings are pronounced the same. Nasu just decided to do something a little goofy with the romanization is all. You spell it Altria but pronounce it Artoria because japanese is a bit of an odd language and Nasu does weird ♥♥♥♥.
Because that would be the exact equivalent of what you just said applied to the title instead of Saber's name.
Fate is an English word, you NPC. Artoria is a Japanese invention that's based on a European name that's still closer to said European name than whatever the ♥♥♥♥ Altria is.
Fun thing about different languages is that pronouncing things and spelling things can be WILDY different. Say bologna. Now pronounce it as spelled. Oh its different? I guess we should all screech incoherently for years. Simple fact is Nasu decided to do this weird language thing with its romanized spelling. The word is final and has been for years so people really need to shut the ♥♥♥♥ up about it already.
