Region Restrictions for Soldier Front 2
Hi all,

Our sincere apologies to those of you who downloaded the game only to find out you could not log in due to region restrictions. We are working with Valve to remove the SF2 store page from any countries we may have missed (this mostly seems to be the case with players in the UK).

To clear up any confusion, here is the list of regions where the game is not available:

Europe, Russia, Middle East, North Africa, South America, and some Asian countries (Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Philippines). We have provided Valve an updated list of countries to display the game in, so they can remove SF2 from the Steam store in any blocked regions.

If you are located in a region not listed above, you should be able to download the game, log in, and play. If that is NOT the case, please let us know here, or you can directly contact Aeria Games (http://www.aeriagames.com/contact).

Why are there region restrictions in the first place? Licensing issues or something?
Crookshaw Jul 4, 2013 @ 1:56pm
That's correct, Aionion. Gameforge will publishing a version of the game (S.K.I.L.L Special Force 2) in Europe and potentially some other regions.

Exactly what licensing issues are you experiencing? As far as I know if you made a game you can publish anywhere you want unless you did something stupid.

In what way does the game contain a virus? I have seen no one say anything about a virus which leads me to believe it is just your anti-virus giving you a false positive.
