More information on Solider Front 2

Okay, everyone has being posting and still asking questions on whether on not Gameforge is getting the legal documents from Dragonfly to buy the rights to SF2, if you are interested in finding out more information, subscribe to this discussion and i will keep you informed.

So far i have read, and the discussion seems to still be up at the moment, there have been posts as recent as "Novemnber 30,2015", 3 days ago, though the game as closed 4 months ago. So it seems like Gameforge is still trying to grab the rights and legal documents for SF2 NA region to remove the IP block. Also if (AND I ONLY SAY IF) they manage to buy the rights to SF2 NA, it will still take maye 1-3 months maybe 4 to setup our station for us to play along side the S.K.I.L.L EU, or just buying SF2 NA but not having our old accounts, stay tuned if you want more information and add me for more info, (ADD ME IF ONLY YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT SF2)

GAMEFORGE ALREADY OWN RIGHTS TO IT. THEY CAN OPEN A SERVER AT ANY GIVEN TIME.

Technically, they changed Soldier Front 2 into Special Force 2, but its still in closed beta tester and there are no wipe after the CBT period, which is nice. Unfortunately, you cant use your account from Soldier Front 2 because Special Force 2 is a completely new game with a new publisher.

Actually, I checked the current state of the IP and distribution rights and as I write right now, Gameforge doesn't own anything related to Soldier Front 2 in Canada and the US... or at least, it's not official and registered yet.

GameForge already owns content and has a license to distribute in other countries. They own content and the rights for it, and would only need to renew it for distribution in the US and Canada.

Yes it is true that Gameforge owns said content of SF2, but there has to be a renewing process for distribution to "NA" regioners. They are still thinking of the Pros and the Cons of opening SF2 in the NA region.
Pros-More economical profit shall invent, far greater players than ever before
Cons- The time it would take, 2-3 months to set up then a wait time for us (maybe 1-2 months) just to be aloud to open it.
Then the final question remains with them, should just re-open SF2, or remove ip block and input a option in SKILL for the NA regioners to play on. (Less lag less arguement)

It boils down to the goals of GF. It may or may not happen, but that's for them to decide. It'll take about a month to set up, then around 2 weeks to test it's stability, and another 2 to set up for distribution.

With GF's last movements in regards to optaining previously used I.P or re-distributing it, they've proven they're up to the challenge and are willing to do it. At the moment it's anyone's guess.

Hello everyone got some good news, my cousin and I have been messing around with the VPN ( Virtual Private Network). you all should no the game site click on neterlands and enjy playing SKILL, it works i am ivivng proof i have been playing for a long time. This is the chnace for us to play SF2 again but tell noone in skill its a vpn u can get banned.
