It's a great game, but it shares an issue common with other SteamWorld games where the content feels thinly spread and the game could've been shorter (although the Dig games don't have this issue, all of the other ones do).

The Steamworld Heist series is the only one from Image & Form (now Thunderful) that I've ever played. Never tried Dig, despite the acclaim it received (didn't seem like my type of genre, based on the gameplay videos I watched); Build doesn't appeal to me (again, genre preference). I tried Quest and while it was not bad, I realized that I don't care for card mechanics either, so I put it aside after the first boss.

I do hope the Heist series continues- it's the only property from this developer to which I look forward.

Quest was ok, but the difficulty was uneven. The first and last acts were very difficult, but the midgame was almost braindead easy. I found the card mechanics too limiting as well, with not a lot of room to chain a bunch of cards together for ridiculous combos (only 3 cards per turn, a 4th card for all cards matching one color). Finally, too long, runs out of steam by about the halfway point, which is again a common issue with this series.
