It's hard to explain but those weird talking-noises annoy me so much that I sometimes skip cutscenes (+ I really don't like the way the devs do storytelling in their games but luckily playing them without the story is still very fun for me).
Although we love the quirky robot voices we know they aren't everyone's favorite. There is an option to turn them off in the audio settings.
