Nobody is obliged to market their game effectively. I didn't come in here looking for an argument, I expected a friendly summary from a member of the community, as you might find on the forum for any sequel released on Steam. Instead, I got... this weirdness.
Dude make up your damn mind lol
Anyway, looking at the store page I don't really see anything meaningful or different aside from the real-time naval battles. I've picked up the game though, so if anything else stands out to me I'll share my findings.
Edit: Guess I'll add that there's a new EULA for this title as well, which sadly would imply there's data collection of some sort afoot. That's a shame.
in short, spoilers are everywhere for everything, even from the marketing teams.
As to how 2 differs from 1: Not that drastically. The animation/characters have the same cool 2D look the first one had and if you liked the first game, this gives you way more content/playtime with a few improvements/additions - the biggest being the job system which lets you mix and match different weapons and abilities from other classes. I've played for about 2hrs so far and can see mixing classes could be cool later on in the game.
The other big addition is the overworld submarine battles. It's ok. I didn't think a turn based shooting game needed that but it adds some mild exploration and naval auto battling if you're into it. And the world/map looks beautiful.
So far, I'm really enjoying it. 2 has been as fun and engaging as the first one. But perhaps for some it might seem like DLC content the size of a full game.
