I had put off a purchase until they removed the always online requirement, but if that's true - then I'll just remove it from my list entirely and set it to ignore.
Music's always been censored in the THPS games. It always sticks out like a sore thumb no matter how they try to make it not sound too jarring, unfortunately.
I first noticed it with Primus, second line is "drove so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fast" Guess what's cut out.
I hate censorship.
Wow really steam, you censor something like that? Fairies.
"Pull down your dress, here's a kick in the..." (The word a** is supposed to be there instead of the abrupt pause after "kick in the")
"Let's beat you blue 'till you beat in your pants" (supposed to be s*** instead of beat)
"There's six of us, babe, so suck on my street!" (supposed to be d*** instead of street)
It's honestly really gross how the song is censored considering the subject matter of Police Truck. The fourth verse is about the police in question assaulting a woman, and the censorship makes it nonsensical. They may as well have just cut out the whole damn verse instead of butchering it like that. I guess in a way it almost adds to the message of how authority figures hide their corruption if you know it's censored because of how weird it sounds afterwards.
Pretty much what I thought for THPS 1+ 2. I am pretty sure songs like Liberate by Disturbed were censored in even Tony Hawk's Underground 2. These games are T-rated. They are usually not going to have all uncensored lyrics, but the song and tone of it is still there.
Great and thoughtful ideas for mods.
