Cheaters in online multiplayer

I just played multiplayer for the first time and was in the lead in trick attack then this Justin guy out of nowhere wins with 14 million points. I know online play isn't super huge in this but they need to implement some type of light anti-cheat when playing online.

honestly, if i'm not playing with friends or very very trusted competitors on discord, i don't bother with online with any game. online components asks to be cheated by bad actors if it is an open lobby. sad, super sad, but it's true overall in my experience.

what i would recommend is: play with friends or with people from a discord server, so you can rat them out if they cheat when they aren't supposed to. (i honestly think that if both are cheating than fair game, but if not... well...)

Well you're clearly new to the THPS/THUG Community, this is called Proving, we have been doing this for the last 20 years. There are a large amount of players, they hide in a game called "ThugPro" which is the Thug2 Engine on PC. No one is cheating, if they were cheating - i'm sure it would be 99999999 billion points... not 14 Million, 14 Million is easy, 14 billion is hard.

That's not a cheater. Look up the THPSVideos youtube channel and expand your mind. These games are much more than you think they are.

yeah this isnt cheating. I can clear that easily on certain levels...just takes a while to combo and hope i dont screw it up or the timer ends. Welcome to Tony Hawk . A lot of us hawk fanatics have been playing since one...and then thugpro for a long while

You get get 14 million without proving though.

I never use lines, and especially tech as I find it lame personally, my record for Mall in THAW is 80.4 million.

OP just needs to commit to learning or deal with it.

Justin is just a good skater, i´ve played a few maps with him and he always wins, its not impossible to beat him though, but you have to mantain combos to even get close to that score

So jump hacks are a thing... Seen a few now clearing impossible heights and scores to go with it. Ridiculous.

I've looked into this for a little bit, and I suspect it's that THPSPRO level mod. It does let you enable moon gravity at any time and it's not a registered game mod in the actual options but a toggle with F7.

Probably what's going on... There are better pro skater games though.

how would moon gravity make sense, please do proper research on twitch / youtube and stop talking nonsense after playing the game for a couple hours, there is people playing this genre for 20 years, they know what they are doing, cheating in thps online yeaaa :D

I've been playing this series since 2000, I play THAW daily and have over 700 hours of 1+2 on PS4; I know these games like the back of my hand.

Skating high into the sky box is not tech in 1+2, neither is slow falling for tens of seconds; This is guaranteed moon gravity.

I have yet to experience score hacks like OP claims, however. 14 million is still a normal score.

you can actually jump as high as the game allows it, there is quick turn reverts and other ways to do it, 700 hours what did you do? playing jams allday?
