Another remaster??
Didn't they do one a couple of years back? What's different?
Or is that a remaster of the remaster? Another cashgrab, or worth it?

Epic exclusivity ended, so it's now on Steam.

According to all reviews and player feedback: the remaster was utter sh*t (I have it, don't buy it) but this one was great. Just EGS exclusive for a while. However, if you play on the Deck without internet regularly, forget this here as well...

As someone who owns both this and the old remaster, this is not a remaster: this is a full remake, and by far the best version of the game. It plays gloriously well, and looks incredible.

This is a remake (VERY close to the original assets with same soundtrack plus bonus songs), not remaster. The remaster was below decent for what it was. This one is good.

Thanks for your answer!
I knew I heard something about an earlier remaster that went straight into the toilet...XD. Great this is indeed something different!
Might actually give it a go!

Okay so there was a remake called THPS HD made by Robo Moto that came out in the late 00s, but it was handled pretty poorly and is now delisted (♥♥♥♥ DRM).

This one is the good remake that was handled by Vicarious Visions, the same guys that did the excellent Crash Bandicoot remakes among other great games. Originally this was exclusive to epic, but is now on steam too.

However, I would suggest not purchasing this game due to the way it punishes loyal paying customers by requiring an internet connection for single player. There are other means of playing this game that I'd highly recommend pursuing instead as the game itself is fantastic, but practices like this shouldn't be supported if you care about having the freedom to play the games you bought after Activision inevitably decides they don't want to keep the servers running anymore.

The Crash remake was abysmal.

The best part of Epic Exclusivity is by the time they release on a platform I care about, most of the bugs are taken care of.

This one is actually solid, physics feels largely the same, levels are well done and its the perfect blend of old levels and tricks from later games (like revert or wallplant), there is effort put into it. It's not perfect, but probably as good as it gets besides THUG PRO.

What is that? Rudeness on a Steam forum? I can't believe it! This is so original XD! How different you are! Truly an exeptional specimen!

it is so expensive! like why!
I purchased the other remake day one cause it was like only $20...

I will not pay $60 for flea market games that are 3 for $15 in the bin at Gamestop
