Lol I was coming to ask that too. I didn’t see a verified or playable tag in the store.

Let me ask you a serious question:

How often are you actually without an internet connection, with your Steam Deck, in 2023. I'm literally never without access to one, wherever I am, no matter how hard I try (unless I leave my cell at *home*)

It's classic DRM to ensure you don't go out and pirate the game... even though you're paying for the game to get the DRM.
According to ProtonDB.com (great site to learn how a game will run on Steam Deck), the game is rated Platinum. To quote other users, "60 FPS, runs and looks great!" as well as "Unable to connect to multiplayer servers".

the internet i have at home is choppy as ♥♥♥♥, lose access to it like 3 times a day from about 7 to 20 mins or not at all. been like this for the last month, we are changing providers cause of it. also travel to places without internet and play games in my free time. at places without internet about 3 times a week.
also when not the driver of a vehicle i play games, no internet there

Tons of place we use the deck doesn't have a full internet connection.

Anyway, why would you try to justify an online only for singleplayer aspect of a game haha?

for me, very often. despite money not being the issue, i have very mediocre wifi and i lose internet very often on my steam deck regardless of where i am in my house. i can't imagine getting kicked off of a single player game constantly because it requires internet, that's insane lol.

I don't have data on my phone, because I have Internet at home, where I am 95% of the time. I can't justify paying an extra $80+ CAD a month just to use the Internet 3 times a month when I am away from home. So whenever I drive my gf out shopping and stay in the car reading a book or playing on the Steam Deck I have no Internet access, which is where I use the Steam Deck 90% of the time.

So yeah, there are people who don't have the Internet everywhere they go.

It runs great on ProtonGE, but online doesn't function on Linux it seems, refuses to log in.

Works fully on Windows.

There are various reasons people lose internet. Geographical location where internet is terrible with only one option for service provider. A power outage (which makes the deck a great asset) Going on a walk/hike. Traveling/roadtrips. There are many reasons people might not have reliable internet. Just because you don't experience internet loss as often as others doesn't mean its not an issue for people less fortunate than you.
Edit: And that list is far from exhaustive.

Quite often in my case. Aside from the obvious airports/travel and power outages, it's really nice to have my deck (or let's be real, GPD Win Max since that's more portable) in a pinch when waiting for something. I took my Deck to my dentist appointment a little bit ago since I figured there would be a long wait, and it kept me entertained.

Most places can offer free WiFi, but that's a security risk and I'd rather not fiddle signing up and going through the browser to activate it, just to play 5-10 minutes of THPS or another game. It's just not worth my time to fiddle with WiFi when I could actually be playing the game itself during that time.

A lot actually, Whole reason I bought a deck was to play games during downtimes while working in remote locations. Needing a constant connection for singleplayer games is stupid.

Nice strawman. Where did I justify online only for singleplayer? Gonna need a direct quote. My position is not one of support... it's just one of not being surprised. It has been this way in the Epic Store version since release. I've played *that* version on my deck forever now.

You can always just vote with your dollars, and who knows.... maybe complaining about it on a forum will be helpful, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm just totally jaded to half answers on forums. The OP asked if it was any good on deck, not for opinions on online only drm. Perhaps they did want to know those things...great! But for the majority of Deck owners some kind of connectivity is not a major issue.

Any time I play my Steam Deck outside of my house, it's offline.
