Balancing is easier for me with an analog stick as you don't have to worry about two separate inputs, it's just wiggling. The ability to modulate the stick vs. press a button just feels more intuitive to me for the same reason driving games feel better with analog vs d pad. Trick inputs are atrocious with analog though. Especially getting diagonal inputs to register.
But after 20 years with an Xbox controller I bought a Playstation controller for this game and it made my brain hurt. I see why it's better, but meh
I think that either on the x-box or the ps controller...D-pad it will be.
Same, I started playing Tony Hawk with Underground 2 on PS2 that already had analog sticks, so it's what I'm used to
