STILL NO OFFLINE FOR PC PLAYERS?!

Even after the patch that came today (18.10.2023.) I still can't launch the game in offline mode on PC. Only Steam deck users can play offline for some idiotic reason even though the game is on the same platform -> STEAM. Terrible decision.

Can you do me a favor? Try running the game offline on the PC, but add this as a startup command:

steamdeck=1 %command%

Apparently, they stupidly made the game check to see if it's specifically running on a Steam Deck, and this command tells it that it is.

That's hilarious if it's that easy to bypass and really odd for them to specifically do it that way.

I've seen conflicting reports as to whether or not it actually works, but even if it doesn't, there has to be some way of launching it the same way in Windows as it launches on the Deck.

Activision, why? Why do you hate us and yourselves? Do you really not want Windows users to play your PS1 games offline that much? Was THIS really the more logical solution to you?

Great job figuring it out. Really sucks people will have to tinker this much just to get it working on their Windows desktops, laptops, and handhelds. It doesn't really affect me since I usually have internet and my handheld of choice is a Steam Deck but this really shouldn't be a thing.
