What's with the map showing platforms that aren't there?

There's several places where square platforms are visible on the zoomed-in map but there doesn't seem to be anything there.

Some of them appear after pulling levers. There are rarely invisible platforms as well.

There are also platforms you can only use after you found a specific ability.
If you can't use them yet, keep searching.

Ah I figured out one of them. The bottom-left area of Weeping Wastes has a room transition that's disjointed with the map so there are two platforms that are effectively the same platform but are displayed on the zoomed-in map as being one on top and one on the bottom.

There's also another suspicious spot on the map one screen to the right of the bar waypoint in weeping wastes, where there's a platform with a tree that looks bigger on the map than it actually is; I'm guessing that's just a map transcription error.

I can't remember what other ones I saw.
