bug report - remapping circle on ps4 controller

just started this game and i'm playing with a dual shock/ps4 controller. I wanted to remap my dash onto my circle key (it is R1 by default) but after i did so, the circle key no longer worked to escape menus etc. just wanted to alert the devs to this bug if they are not already aware.
