First playthrough: should I play Q.U.B.E or Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut?
I don't know why I never played this, as I've owned these for years. I've never played a Q.U.B.E game. However, I love the puzzle-adventure genre, and I've played Portal and The Witness, and similar. On first playthrough, should I play Q.U.B.E or Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut, and why? Please, avoid spoilers.

Gameplay-wise they're the same but Director's Cut has voice acting and story.

As much as the original game is my favorite, the original does spoil the Director's Cut. The Director's Cut has a dark-ish thriller-ish story with mystery elements, and the ending *will* be spoiled for you if you play the OG game first.

If you want to experience the Director's Cut story pristine no spoilers, you have to play it first. The two games use about 80% the same maps, puzzles and assets with some variations added in the Director's Cut.

The first game is story-less with a different soundtrack. It's much more minimal, chill and peaceful in tone - but it has the same cutscenes, just without voice acting.
