I hate bats so much

Out of all the enemies, bats are the most annoying to kill in every situation.

haha In the xbox version out of my 1000+ death bats killed me the 3rd most out of anything! (2nd was mummy, 1st was shopkeeper)

They are surely annoying, especially when descending on you, then you are almost guaranteed to take damage if there are other hazards nearby.

The sharper the their approach angle from above, the harder they are to whip. Best thing to do is re-position yourself so they come in more level with your character.

Remember that your rope can kill them. A last resort solution if you only have one heart left.

Bats are the bane of every new players life. But eventually you get use to them and your hatred will be shifted towards monkeys (♥♥♥♥ those guys). There are definitely worse enemies, thats for sure.

Yeah, I really hate monkeys and will go out of my way to just try avoid those bastards.

My most hated has got to be spiders in dark levels. Can't really run in dark areas because you might run into something nasty, but if you don't, you got a spider dropping on you instead :P

They definitely aren't as bad as the spiders and those stupid, stupid frogs. Leaping enemies really get on my nerves.

I'm not new it's just when I'm entering a shop and pull aggro from a bat I can't retaliate inside, or if there are other hazards nearby, most of the time I pull away and let them come to just in front of me or near there and slap their ♥♥♥♥ with my whip, otherwise I hit then with my Rope throw or throw stuff at them.

Actually, if they enter a shop you should be easily able to kill them by jumping on them, in fact, jumping is one of the easier way to kill bats I've found, you can kill them when they're higher up then you think you can reach.
