Please... This game is too difficulty for me, even I used cheat Engine to change the life to 99,when dropping on a trap, I will died again...

well if you do, be sure and never use them on the dailys, keep things fair lol

this game is hard, but that's the beauty of it, every accomplishment feels that much nicer, ur first shortcut, a tip for progress, just worry about the forest shortcut first, gives u some more wiggle room for progress, and from there on u work ur way :) fun that way

D: who'd wannah cheat? if it was possible, i'd reccomend doing it AFTER you've completed the game (without cheating)

Yes trust me ull get better at spelunky, and its way more fun if u don't cheat trust me itll only make u get bored faster, unloicking is half the fun of the game :)

yea also why i don't like dl save files etc either, just more fun to get there urself for this game :)

here is the thing if you have to resort to cheating cus you..well are just bad then dont play the game at all. Its not ment to be a easy game if you cant bother with getting better then just dont bother playing it at all (well maybe im being harsh there but still it just seems dumb to me...but yeah attleast dont ever use these cheats on the leaderboards on in dailes..if you do that then you really dont deserve to play the game)

I think it's less being a "dumb player," and moreso being a patient player. It took hundereds of playthroughs before I could call myself "decent," and even then, I still die a lot.

@Eric Chen, http://www.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_spelunky.shtml should have what you're looking for. It's for the HD release (2013 patch date for the links) and should provide several trainers to your taste. As Spelunky HD isn't a Source game, don't worry about triggering VAC. Just download, run the trainer, and start the game. Check the trainer to see if it needs a key to be pressed to start it, or what keys give health / bombs / ropes, etc.

EDIT: The website seems to have been blocked for some reason. The name of the site is Game.Copy.World. Just remove the periods and you should be good.

seriously though, "Fun" is ultimately a subjetive notion. I mean, take Dwarf Fortress's definition of FUN [dwarffortresswiki.org], for example. (For me, this lil' comic never gets old.)
you kind of have to like letting your games HURT you to like Spelunky as it is. It's just the way the game is designed, and Spelunky is extremely well designed, imo.

as you long as you don't cheat on the Dailies, play the game however you like, i suppose~

I am so suprised that here are many masochists...come on , I bought the game, I play the game , not game play me,as for achievements, I don't care...I have many things to do, including take care of a baby, so I don't have a whole day to walkthrough the game ,a nobody like me is just asking a cheating software which can realy work, and this is NOT a online game, why so serious to me?Are the games your whole life ?

Some people get too worked up about achievements. I like to hunt achievements too, but I realize that they're something that only really matters to myself. It doesn't affect me one bit if people cheat to get them. This applies to cheating in any single-player game.

This game does have leaderboards though, so to a small extent it has some online functionality, but it doesn't sounds like highscores are something you're aiming at anyways. In other words, feel free to cheat if you want.
