Currently max two players can play online together.
[Sorry for my English.]
If so, hail the freakin' PC master race right there, gotta love them mods, all the better if they add online multiplayer!
How well does this work anyway? Maybe i should get some people to play online with someday if it works, as i never had much amusement from trying to beat the temple/hell levels in singleplayer due to all the difficulty and insta-death, yet no new interesting things/items to encounter, or anyone to play with (which always makes things more amusing).
Hm, wonder how controls have to be setup for this, do you need a pair of P2 controls if you're the client, or will P1 controls do fine too? (Using the keyboard here, so...)
I guess I can't really answer the virus part since I released the mod. In fact, even virus scanners saying it's clean (although chrome claims it's malicious on some platforms due to it not being popular software) is really not enough to prove that it's truly not malicious. So I guess you'll have to trust I'm not trying to break your machine :3
No additional controls required. For the person hosting there may be a tiny bit of hassle involving port forwarding, I'm working on resolving this through NAT hole-punching in the future.
