Still no Tunnel Man in coop?

I've seen threads from 2013 that asked for it and dev responed that he'll look into it, but there is still no tunnel man in coop?

Tough luck. I wouldn't count on it happening now, but I guess you can find a skin that replaces one of the existing characters with the tunnel man.

You can swap out skins from other characters to make custom skins. I swear i've seen someone that made a custom skin of the Tunnel Man somewhere before.

Appears I misunderstood. Are you saying that the tunnel man does not appear at the beginning of new stages if you're playing co-op?

Alright, apologies. Like I said though, I wouldn't count on it happening now and I don't really think there's a chance of getting a hold of the developer through the Steam forum in any case.

Yeah I was just wondering. It's weird that he is missing from coop. Also weird how so few people still play Spelunky (?) , it's such a great game.

It really is, but it's only natural that less people are playing. It's a single-player game after all, so how many people is playing at any given time is not really a good measure of how well it's holding up. Those that enjoy it will return to play it because of the fond memories.

Oh, I guess i misunderstood. You were asking why you can't make tunnel man deliveries in coop? It would be way too easy to unlock all the shortcuts that way. Same reason you can't write scores to the leaderboard in multiplayer.

I still love playing the game. Been Spelunking since 2012 on xbla and have well over 2k hours in the game. Spelunky <3

I play this game solely coop with my kids. It's very upssetting to find out that we have NO way of taking a shortcut to get to the Jungle or beyond. With the antics of a 5 and 8 yr old, it'd be really really helpful :\

Hmm, VillainNglasses if you can't play the game in your own time to unlock the shortcuts single player or pass the controller single player with your kids just to unlock shortcuts then there is another possible option. Swapping the save file is really easy. I could help you setup a save file with shortcuts unlocked.

You can unlock them by playing single player??! I had no idea. I've only ever played the game coop. I wasn't aware that it was primarily a single player game at all. The only reason I purchased it and play it is because of the 4-player coop!! I will definitely give the single player 'pass the controller' method a go to unlock the shortcuts then. Thanks for the info!
