Is this game totally bugged?

I remember back in 2014 I downloaded and fell in love with Rulers of Nations.
I remember fondly my save game with Catar that I bribed Russia and USA to gain a permanent seat at UN Security Council so I could wage war in the whole south hemisphere, have conquered a mongolian-like spread empire from Catar, crossing a cholera-infested Africa till the brazilian southeast and argentina.

However the game was so bugged (and thanks to this bug I could renegotiate oil contracts with Japan and USA for almost infinite money). Since then I´ve read a lot of reviews of EVERY eversim game saying it´s bugged and not worthy the money.

Question is, can you have fun for hundreds of hours with it or the bug just make it an annoying game that you´ll just feel it didn´t fulfill its potential?

Read the how not to be bugged forum i posted, 3 main bugs that 99% of people complain about. The rest is mainly skill issues due to this game not holding your hand at all.

the game is a mess and the devs are dipsh1ts
but as UH-60 said there are 3 main problems (for most people) which if you follow you can get a better experiance as usual... tho i still find is super buggy lategame especially if i invest in space a lot

I did a ton of space stuff as Saudi, what was bugged on your end? i spent trillions in late game and i don't quite remember having anything bug related to space. Ended in around 2055 with still no issues. WhaT was you runnning into?

for me suddenly when the game makes the big calculation at the start of a new year my space and research money went into the sky i dont remember the exact numbers been a while since i played like my whole economy crashed because of it and i was doing hella fine i belive the last mission i wanted to do is the living on mars thing maybe its intended maybe not but my budget was all of a sudden 50x higher and that i noticed to late only when the advisor was like "look out at your deficit" but this was way to late by then xD

That sounds like it falls into line with the min max bug i posted as rule #1 most likely, might have just accidentally maxed out a % popup, which has been the case for almost everyone when that happens. i did it a few times throught my games which is annoying but thats what the autosaves are for.

It always has been bugware and it always will be. I don't think they know how to fix it because the bugs that are there were there in the first release, and we're talking about the vanilla game. If you go and use the editor, forget about it. That said it has improved a bit from previous years.
