Honestly this game has the be the best political management game I have ever played it is so in depth and very complex which I love in games, and you have to watch every aspect of what your doing as doing something wrong could result in something bad for your economy I 100% recommend this game to anyone that is into political and very complex management games.

I say yes, but you must realize first... this is a yearly release so 2024 edition is probably coming soon. Good thing is (I say good thing loosely) is that if you have the previous year's edition you get around half off on the next when it comes out, yay, wow.... so moving on now.

There's two things this game has in droves... content and jank. There's no game like it, no really go look I'll wait. Unless you're going back to the 80's to play Shadow President welcome back. So the long and short of it, you can play as any country in the world as they were at the start of 2023, you can control the laws, the armies, the secret service, diplomacy ect, and after you get the hang of how it works, there's some amazingly cool things you can do in the simulation. Can you fix America? Can you save Ukraine? Can you make the EU fun? No to the latter, but everything else yes and way more.

But there's jank, run ending, game ruining, total jank that can strike at heartbreaking times.... SAVE OFTEN. I save every quarter, that way if you have to reload you won't lose a ton of time. There's a really good guide in the forum for how to avoid nearly all bugs and it helps a lot. Still from time to time, menus won't load, units won't move, numbers get wonky.... but when you see just how much is going on under the hood, eh these things will happen.

Ultimately this is the kind of game you'll leave in frustrated rage after spending 100s of hours playing, only to slowly be drawn back as you see things happen irl and wonder how you'd deal with it in the sim. This is a very niche genre so you know why you're here. Fortunately you found what you were looking for... god save your poor soul.

10\10 would rage quit again

The ecologist guy who supposedly "likes me" with extra green face starts hunger strikes after hunger strikes. That destroys my approval rating to 50% per hunger strike. Despite me having maxed out everything in environment tab. Despite me having reduced CO2 emissions from 38 mtones to 4 mtones. Despite me having constructed the infrastructure to capture this irrelevant 4mtones.

From economic point of view, I like this game really much. But such things overshadow everything...
