1080p?
In the menu, the interface won't allow me to raise the resolution highter than 1366x768. All my other games switch to 1920x1080 with no trouble. Anyone else know of this problem? Can I fix it in the settings file?

The only solution I found to get it to go to 1080p was to change the resolution on your desktop settings, then run the game, then change it in-game to 1080p. However, each time you want to play, you have to change the desktop settings to 1080p, otherwise it defaults back to 1366x768.

Ah, I'll try that. Thank you

Wut.

Runs at 1080 for me every time I play it.

I had my desktop resolution set to 768 because I have my pc hooked up to my tv. 1080 for the desktop is too hard to see text from 6ft away though. Even setting resolution to 1080p but with large icons makes the game cap at 768 for some reason.

But Aipaloovik was right, if you set the desktop resolution to 1080 with normal icons, the game doesn't cap. Very strange decision by the devs but hopefully this helps anyone else having a problem

You can keep the resolution to 1080p and set windows with big icons (scaling to 150%), after that just go to your steam folder than \SteamApps\common\Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2\bin right click on CLOS2.exe then click Properties. On the Compatibility tab, select Disable Display Scaling On High DPI Settings, and then click OK.

No need to always change the resolution and it's useful even for other apps/games.

Don't use the settings in game, this game is a bad port to PC...

What I suggest is, after you at least started the game once and successfully start which means no crash, go to:
C:\Users\<User>\Documents\MercurySteam\Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2\<SteamID>
Then find this file "game.cfg" and edit it with notepad or notepad++
Seek the lines 12 and 13 to change the VideoWidth to 1920 and the VideoHeight to 1080 in your case. Also check the line # 11 and if the value for FullScreen is not already at 1 instead of 0, then replace it.

Now you should be able to start the game with the correct resolution...hopefully!

Thank you, that did the trick! I combined that with High DPI Scaling Override just to be thorough, but I tried it without and still worked.

This is so insane, because the first Lords of Shadow goes up to 1920x1080 without any problems
