Revelations DLC - Was it worth the money?
New playable character (well, actually not exactly new), excellent new weapon, new totally different abilities, new areas, a few new enemies that fight differently, two new boss fights and cutscenes are on par with the main game (unlike the original Lords of the Shadow DLC cutscenes which were kinda lame low quality cartoons). And about 3-4 hours of content if you bother to look for collectibles.

But you won't learn anything new from the story though. It's more of a "Prologue" than "Revelations".

I liked the Revelations more than the actual main game. Alucard fights quite differently than Dracula, his combat is just much more fluid and fun. Kinda makes me wish the main came was from Alucard's perspective rather than from Gabriel's.

All in all, if you liked the main game, Revelations is definitely worth the few bucks the developers ask from you.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I can't say for sure, maybe it was. I found the experience to be bit of a chore and puzzles were thoroughly uninteresting. Marie's inclusion in this part of the story was bit strange to say the least. She felt unneeded, I think one meeting between her and Trevor would have sufficed towards the end. Something about the whole thing seemed off to me, bit too literal. But one thing that this DLC does is make the actual ending seem even worse now! Even here we are lead to believe that this whole darn quest is about redemption. It was alright I would say, a 6/10 to be honest.

in my opinion. for the 7 bucks i payed. its worth it. like you get a maybe 2 hours worth of content for that price its pretty good. you get to toy with some new moves and abilities which i must say are very very fitting to the character. Was a big fan of alucard in synphony of the night, this didnt really taint his character so i give it the thumbs up :oldschool:

Know it´s far from expensive, so can´t be unworth the cash.
Was expecting it to cost more like between €10-€12. Maybe even €15. But it´s not even near half of that amount.

i liked it totally worth the money a much better zelda-esque layout. instead of the much more flawed regular clos2.

For 8 bucks it was definitely worth it. The end boss was amazing, although I struggled with it a lot because my POS gamepad keeps disconnecting for half a second at random times. Sadly this forced me to play it on easy mode, and I still found it hard.

I wish there were more bosses though, just one. It was short, but for 8 bucks it was a good length. If the cutscenes were like the ones from the 1st games DLC, I would be disappointed, but they were the nice ones which I enjoyed.

Oh... and no stealth, hah.

Alucard and his stance alone are worth 5 times the price.

So what are his enemies in this DLC?

I didn't like the enemies in the main game, except for those neo-gothic riot cops and walkers. I hoped to fight more brotherhood or something.

I felt this was actually worth the price.... this wasn't just some mod of alucard playing the same levels, the bat and wolf mechanic was great, the cutscenes were on par with the game before the whole Satan onward part that had bad cutscenes. And the blood was as menancing as it should be, it was great to solve the blood rising puzzle. Overall, this dlc could've used more than a single unique boss, but it was enjoyable all the way through.

The majority of the game should have focused on Alucard. It was pretty awesome playing as him as he was quite different from Dracula who, admittedly, was rather boring. If they would have gone the 3 playable character route (Alucard with a sword, Dracula with his fists and magic, and Victor with the whip) they could have had a hell of a game.

The DLC gameplay was fantastic, but it didn't do jack for the story. For the price, I'd say it was worth it compared to LoS1 DLC....

I thought it was better than the majority of the main game to be honest. There were puzzles, great enviroments, better powers, better final boss, and all for £4 it was a complete steal. My only real complaint is the DLC is called "revelations" but it dosn't really reveal anything at all, it should be renamed to "beginings" or something.

From the looks of the DLC, it should have been the main game. It's just more tighter and focused than the main game is.

Best game dlc ever.
Im going to guess we will get a Victor DLC at some point. It'd be ridiculous if they didn't show what he was doing in the city and how his part fit into the main story.

I loved this dlc, felt really made the castle even more menacing. And Alucards abilities are kinda hard to grasp since you are used to being a ranged combatant and rarely usin the sword. But Alucard felt more powerfull than Dracula in combat. Only ability I missed from Dracula was the mist form. But all other of Alucards abilities really felt like good vampire abilities. The ending was alright since it explained how Alucard was tied up in the ending of main game. And yeah could've had a bit more bosses and maybe a bit longer. But they managed really well with the goal in my opinion. I'm really looking forward to the new dlc if there will be one, and what it will be about if they do one. And it's also really worth its money without a doubt.

I had a blast with Alucard.

Couldve been more imo, since it felt kinda short but afterall it was worth it.
