Can't change resolution
Like many others apparently, I can't change screen resolution to anything over 720p.

Tried running the Direct X redist pack, rebooting pc, verifying files and all. Instant crash.

Seems mercurysteam has to website either or I'd start applying for my money back. This game is literally in console mode. I'm so regretting the preorder.

What about PC resolutions? Just put it in 1920/1080
Talnoy Feb 25, 2014 @ 8:45pm
What? That's EXACTLY what I can't do.

Changing the res to over 720p crashes the game.

Figured it out myself.

Browsing to C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\Documents\Mercury Steam\Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2\[LONG NUMBER] you can find, and open, game.cfg with notepad and manually enter your screen resolution to force the game to start up with that resolution set.

No problems with my game after that fix.

Still very dismayed at how shoddily it was ported. -_-

Could be an issue related to having multiple monitor setups - I have 2 monitors, and game on one.

Same problem for me, the game does not let me change the resolution to any higher than 720p and when i change it to 1080 in the config.cfg it starts in 640x480. Tried many things but nothing work.
Tried to change my native desktop resolution, turned off then on my pc, unchecked steam overlay, changed compatibility, uninstalled then reinstalled the game, reinstalled the DirectX, updated the card drivers, but nothing worked.

My specs :
Win 7 Ulltimate 64
Nvidia Geforce GTX 570
Intel Core i5 750@2.67Ghz
12GB RAM

Polley: You just look for your screen resolution part way down the file - it'll be in 720 so it's easy to spot.

Hunter: THAT is strange; changing the numbers manuall worked easy for me.

For the crash, just deactivate Steam Overlay. Then, you can change any graphic setting within the game.

If there are embarkations or crash
that execute the following to me helped

Hi! Now itself just I suffered
It found a way out of this situation very simple!
You launch game in the "safe mode" mode there you change permission you save, you quit
and again you launch and everything works again come into settings select everything as all is necessary the full screen on a maximum and is ready! ! ! Izvinte sorry bad language for a rough translation!
HOW TO SELECT THE SAFE MODE MODE
Launch sty come into the library of games select the necessary game by the right button click game there will be a menu there select safe mode

SAFE MODE
Запусти стим зайди в свою библиотеку игр выбери нужную игру правой кнопкой кликай по игре выйдет меню там выбери safe mode
