I've had both LoS 2 and Thief pre-loaded since Saturday, but they both received download updates just today. They're either day-one patches, or content that didn't load beforehand; my money'd be on last-second patch-work, though, as the reviews for Thief have been less than kind (as they have been for LoS 2, unfortunately).

Yea Thief had a 300 MB patch that fixed issues like a bug that would cause the game to go 4:3 and the only way to go back to 16:9 or whatever widescreen ratio you use was to exit and restart the game. Also there were sound issues so hopefully all that has been ironed out.
Castlevania's update was the HD Texture Pack added to the Store page today. However LoS2 is still only 6.3GB's and Thief is 20GB's. So yea. Don't know how much HD Texture's we're really going to be getting here. Or LoS2 is really, really short. Because LoS:UE is over 15GB's.
