Should I play Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate before playing this?
Given what I read, Mirror of Fate is a sort of "inbetweenquel" as it were. Is it important enough to pick up on 3DS or the HD version on 360/PS3?

Alternatively, to anyone who has played that game, could I just watch a silent LP of it on YouTube or just watch all the cutscenes? Or is there important dialogue and things going on in-game that wouldn't be shown with the cutscenes?

I watched the cutscenes. It was pretty cool.

Not... really what I was asking for. I'm asking if watching just the cutscenes is what explains the entire story or if there is story outside of the cutscenes, such as dialogue during gameplay and whatnot.

most if not all the story is in the cutscenes

So there's nothing ground-shaking or "need to see" that takes place during gameplay?

I might check it out, but for now, I'll just watch the cutscenes. Thanks for the info.

I still highly recommend picking up the game on 3DS, PSN, XBL, or Steam (if/when it comes out) I had a blast with it.

FYI: The 3D effects for MoF were fricken awesome & done extremely well.

I have nothing but my PC at the moment. Looking to get a 3DS, though, for the multitude of games on it and that are coming out for it, so I might look into MoF.

cool. I recommend playing the game with the 3D on as the effects did alot to enhance the atmosphere :)

Given that the events of Lords of Shadow 2 is supposed to take place after Mirror of Fate, given the inclusion of Alucard, and in the present, I think it's safe to say that I should have watched it.

Beside the Trevor/Alucard and Simon story, you get introduced to the toy maker and fight his creations during all 3 arcs in MoF. You will face the blood infected version of the toy maker in LoS 2 as dracula.
