"What is a man but a miserable pile of secrets."
Good lord, they are forcing those references WAY too hard.

It fits the scene perfectly. Dracula says it when he sees piles of men with their technology (the huge Golum) destroying his castle. Mankind is a pile (an unenlightened horde) of secrets (their clever tricks and technological advances which obscure their true nature).:tgrin:

Only applies if masculinity were suddenly in a vulnerable position culturally.

In the US, at least, it is not.

Heterosexual males still dominate the cultural, economic and social aspects of the country--any claims to the contrary stem from the fact that heterosexual and homosexual (and transgender) men and women are suddenly being allowed to have a voice--and that threatens the status quo.

"Sharing" doesn't mean you've lost a damn thing--it just means you don't get to have it all to yourself anymore.

Signed,

-A heterosexual, CIS male.

So you're saying that misandry and discrimination is OK so long as it's aimed at the white heterosexual male? How Marxist of you.

Lol, we just started learning about Marx in AP Euro. From what I've learned so far, that made absolutely no sense.
I really liked it myself. It might of been a bit forced, but it's the only reference in the enti-

Golden Angel: "Die monster, you don't belong in this world!"

Oh, and that one.
Nah, it was forced. But it's nice that they're putting in references like that (The goblet throw at the beginning was the best, and I found it fitting and not at all forced) but there is some explanation to what he said. Think of "man" as the brotherhood, who kept various secrets from him (his son's birth, his descent into darkness, etc.)

But I am a white, heterosexual male.

What I'm telling you is that any kind of discrimination can only go as far as the power the discriminating party has to exercise said discrimination.

MOST Fortune 500 companies are still run by white, heterosexual males. MOST of the major television companies are still run by white, heterosexual males. Hell, even with our current sitting President being an-other-than-Anglo-European heterosexual male, the US government is still run by white, heterosexual males.

Where is the threat to our current cultural position?

There isn't one, apart from the threat you've conjured in your own mind. Other groups asking for equality =/= misandry. The folks you find to be "femme-nazis" are not Feminists--they're extremists--just like the folks who think it's okay to attack someone for being from a culture other than their own.

Never, ever conflate extremists with the general body politic of a social movement.

Also, given that Marx was a white, heterosexual male, you might want to look up what "Marxism" actually means--though I suspect even cursory research would threaten your precious little worldview.

You're a radical nut job. You're saying one race or sex has to be completely dethroned via discrimination before the discrimination can be legitimized. That's nonsensical. Hate is hate bro. Get a clue. If you're white and male you're under attack. You standing there and taking it with this stupid "I deserve it" attitude is idiotic at best. Did you own slaves? Nope. Did you oppress women? Nope. You're being made to suffer for the actions of others long before your time. I don't believe that anyone today has a right to use the past as a means to discriminate against the white male today. Like I've said, not every white male is privilaged. Sure, the bulk of the people at the very top are white males. But there's a lot more at the very bottom as well. Nobody gives them any attention. It's only the white men at the top that are used as a means to stereotype the entire white race and male sex. I certainly doubt most of the wives of the men at the top have a problem with their man at the top. It's only the women not married to those men that are going to complain. I doubt most women want their jobs as much as they want to be married to those men. Women don't usually want to dominate and be in control. It makes them feel less like women. Only the man-hating lesiban feminist women want to be men and suffer from pen!s envy and believe women should be doing everything men do and putting men out of work and on the streets or even killed off. The Valerie Solanas types who see the S.C.U.M manifesto as their bible.

Do you seriously think that Fortune 500 and presidents are representative of the population at large??? I hope that was a joke and you were being sarcastic, otherwise you are being humongously naive.

That's what I said. He's only looking at the very top 1% just like the feminists do and using them as the means to base their male and white hatred on the bulk of white and male Americans who are not in the top 1%. Most white males are living at the poverty line today and are in need of food assistance. More females have college degrees than males but that's still not enough for the feminists. Now they want women to dominate in the STEM fields as well because it's the only field that males still dominate over women in, in college. Is there any help for males in all the other fields that women now dominate over men in, in college? Nope. Not a single program or government handout for males, espeically white males for anything that women dominate in.

It was a bit out of left field. I thought it would be cool if that particular Paladin Knight ("Die monster! You don't belong in this world!') ended up slaying Dracula, and ended up being Richter. Sure, it may give a few Castlevania fans an aneurysm.
.....THAT.
WOULD.
BE.
AWESOME!!!!
Don't worry, they've only got like 4 more lines from that scene to go (they did "But enough talk, have at you!" in the LoS1 DLC)

I failed at the game of life. Forgive me all of steam, I shan't be taking up anymore of your time with my clearly skewed viewpoints and biased attitude towards anything that walks on two legs.
Good day.
There, fixed your typo thorn.

Lol, we just started learning about Marx in AP Euro. From what I've learned so far, that made absolutely no sense.

Apparently you don't know much about Karl Marx or Lenin. Both were socialists believing that power needs to be taken from the mainstream/majority and redistributed to the minority via social engineering practices. Marx believed this could be achieved by popularizing falsehoods to become truths in the minds of the sheeple. Teach them that what was strong is now weak. (Reference - There's lots of articles in the mainstream media these days talking about how strong and smart women are and how pathetic and weak and dumb men are. "The End of Men and Rise of Women" article by Hanna Rosin for instance and millions of other articles declaring "Women are better than men" at either this or that based on what was thought to be weakness but is now magically turned into strength because some feminist said so or some feminist group paid off a scientist to twist the facts to suit their cause and make their BS case to the public.)

For instance, it's now considered to be strength to cry and act all emo because you're unafraid to show your feelings. Therefore, women who have cried and acted all emotional for all these centuries are now considered the stronger sex because they show their emotion more than men do, who usually keep their problems to themselves and store it inside and never let it out, which is now considered weakness because the male is too afraid to show his emotions. (Oh, but here I am being strong by talking out against feminism and socialism and I'm being called weak. Strange how that works. I guess only women can be strong and talk about their issues. Men are just barred from it apparently. Can't have men being all emo and talking about their problems and possibly taking over the new idea of strength from womenfolk. Nope, only women are allowed to practice the fine art of crying and whining and getting the credit for being so strong for it. If a man does it he's still got to accept the traditional idea that it's weakness. Make any sense? Didn't think so. But I made my case.)

And there's even articles about how women are stronger than men because women don't get sick as often as men do on average and have better immune systems because they got two x chromosomes. WTF BS is that? And I love it when they compare the "X chromosome with the puny insignificant Y chromosome". Anything to minimalize the male sex and what he's made of. Remember the old nursery ryhme? "What are little boys made of? Slugs and snails and puppy dog tails, that's what little boys are made of. What are little girls made of? Sugar and spice and everything nice. That's what little girls are made of." Yep, misandry is taught to us when we're young. We're reminded throughout our male lives how insignificant we are and how disposable we are compared to the "better half" of the human race. And all this and you still deny it that males are discriminated against? You're either blind and deaf and dumb or willfully ignorant and a glutton for punishment.

And to think America is probably going to elect Hillary Clinton as the next POTUS is just a downer. Only because she's a woman and rich and was married to Bill Clinton who's been popularized after leaving office. And what's her running platform? "Women and girls need more empowerment" of course. That's all she talks about. This is 2014 and women outnumber men in colleges and earn the most degrees and are rapidly taking over the job force and best paying jobs and she's wanting more? Women have a Violence against women's act that men don't have. Men make up at least half of all domestic violence victims but are given no shelters to go to or any support. It's all given to women with tax payer money. And who are the largest tax payers in America? Men of course. So we're paying taxes to provide women extra protections and shelters and birth control pills and lower cost medical insurance that men are having to fund with no equal representation for themselves. (Note - women use medical services MUCH more than men do). Men have more car accidents than women do on average because more men are usually on the road. So men are forced to pay higher car insurance premiums than women are. But women use medical services more than men do and yet under Obozocare men are going to have to pay more for insurance so women can pay less which makes it look equal but is actually redistribution of wealth and forcing one to cover the costs of the other. Why should I have to pay for maternity care? I'm not going to get pregnant in my life. It's a waste of money to me. But some women are going to collect off my labor and taxes so they can afford to get knocked up on my dime when they don't want to use the birth contorl I'm also paying for. And I'm sure abortion will be something else that tax payers will eventually be forced to pay for as well even though I'm against the murder of babies inside the womb or out.

I'm told I'm privileged. Sure is some privilege to have to fund the living of others via the force of government. Seems more like slavery and indentured servitude actaully but whatever. I guess some guys just love being discriminated against and won't say a word because they don't want to upset their abusers. What a bunch of boot lickers!

Awkward and forced is just being true to the source material... which sounded awkward and forced in Symphony. Like how bad platforming and unwieldy controls are homage to the original Castlevania on NES.
