  1. Disable Cloud Sync.
  2. Delete the file Documents\MercurySteam\Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2\<user.id>\Profile.LordsOfShadow2.
  3. Start a new game a play until you get to a checkpoint.
After you get to the first (or second) checkpoint, exit and start the game again just to make sure your new game was saved. If it's OK, activate Cloud Sync again.

The next time you run the game, you'll be asked which save you want to keep. Choose the latest one.

Make sure Windows Defender or your antivirus is not preventing the game from saving. Add the game's EXE file to the whitelist.

I really wish I could help more. Those procedures I posted in the beginning solved the problem for me.

Had the same issue, for me the issue was that Documents folder was linked to OneDrive => removed onedrive => I can save

  1. Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon located towards the bottom right of the screen in the Taskbar.
  2. Click the Help & Settings button.
  3. Select Settings from the menu that appears.
  4. Click the Account tab.
  5. Click the Choose folders button.
  6. Uncheck the folders you do not want to use as OneDrive storage. (In my case I had to expand the Documents and Pictures folders and uncheck the Files in "Documents" and Files in "Pictures" boxes before the parent folders were no longer checked.)

After completing these steps my locations under "This PC" reverted to my local Documents and Pictures folders instead of the OneDrive folders.

P.S.:
Also I noticed that onedrive link to documents was in Cyrillic , so that may be issue as well
