"Ding Dong, the wicked MQEL witch is dead."
I half expected the servers to just "disappear", that would have been more anticipated since there has not been a single message of ANYTHING in nearly a 9 months.

Thank $#@!ing God.
Now all the gaming "tartarsauces" that said my reports were "full of $#!@" for the past year+, you can now go cry in your sunglasses and hide your heads in shame in your own a$$holes if you must.

"xTheBlackKnightx" was RIGHT AGAIN as I predicted.
The last development team told me the game was going to get $#%$canned in July 2015.

#$@! UbiSoft and their boot licking, $#@#suckers for producing a complete piece of a$$clownery trash, never listening to the player base, constantly interjecting new PTW ideas, and jack wagon management for firing good developers who did not fit their "profit model".
This happened for over 3 years over the course of 4 separated creative directors and dozens of programmers and artists!

The initial alpha game was fantastic ripening peach, the final product was a complete dried horse apple.

"Hookers and blow" at my place on 10/25/16.
If you want more than one, you have to bring your own.

P.S. My ring is still available for sale, as it has been for a year.

FINAL NOTE: If you have not figured it out, I will say it again. Go $#@! yourself UbiSoft with a freight train up the a$$. You need to be shut down, as you have become worse than EA.

Oh Well. It was inevitable really.
The game had a good run. Time to move on.

It's been a blast, really.
I've had a great time toasting castles, trying different defences and helping clan members. I've also enjoyed watching many many replays from attackers FAR better than I, who made mince-meat of my best efforts!

I just read about that and I've got to say I'm not surprised.

For about a year after I first started playing it, the quality had only been going down. I kept waiting for the game to go back to what made it good during its first months of existence, but nothing ever happened.

I'm slightly torn though. On one hand I really hope that it was a financial disaster just because that'll teach them a lesson, On the other hand I really hope it wasn't, because that'll encourage them to try this sort of thing again, only better.

This is UbiSoft, this is their position on ALL products.
REMEMBER THIS WELL.
If you do not understand the written terminology below, you have failed the education system in whatever your origin of language and country.
Do not complain, do not whine, do not throw tantrums.
No one cares, and certainly not UbiSoft.

REFUNDS & CURRENCY
• Is all my money gone when you close this game?
Starting today, users won’t be able to buy virtual currency anymore. Users will still have 60 days to spend the currency in the game. After 60 days, this will no longer be possible as all bought premium currency and items will no longer be accessible when the game is closed.
• I want my money back! / Refund
In accordance with our Terms of Use and Terms of Sale, this is not possible.

The only thing really suprising to me about this announcement is that it did not happen a long time ago.

The game has basically been abandonware for the last year now, and even before that it seemed to be nothing for years but a endless parade of incompetent staff (Might Quest had a very high turnover rate) often with conflicting priorities and ideas, none of which ever seemed to be fully implemented, leading to creating a ever-worsening mess of a game.

I really cannot think of any other game I have ever played that progessively got worse as time went on. It started out as a great concept, a fun game that only needed some polish and an end-game; and somehow ended up being a unplayable grindy/boring blatant P2W flaming trainwreck still needing an end-game.

I think I spent a total of 20$ on this game, when I had started years and years ago. To this day, I still feel robbed and cheated of the game value for the money spent.

I feel bad for those that spent any money recently on this game, but honestly the writing has been on the wall for years that this was coming.

When they cut the game staff down to zero, the only other thing you have left to cut is the game itself.

It was only a matter of time, the game was fun in the beginning then they made the crappy changes where you had to craft monsters and traps.

If anyone has any in game currency, spend it on stuff cuz you wont be getting a refund.

no any refunds, what a surprise

*Sigh* well, we all knew it was coming. This game could have been a monumental success, similar to League of Legends or even Pokemon. All it needed in early beta was a few tweaks to some overpowered monsters and a little polish... then some brain dead developer, and thier pile of potatoes for a boss, decided to scrap it all and replace it with a completely broken free build system. That was the beginning of the end. Every attempt they made to balance it made it worse. And instead of admiting it was a mistake, and returning to the old limited system, they kept building on top of it, like building a city on a sea of quicksand. After they realized they couldn't salvage it, AGAIN, instead of admiting thier mistake, and rolling back the development clock, they decided to dump a bunch of P2W monsters, buildings, and a goth hero on it (why a goth hero?) in an attempt to get more money out of a game many had already bought wholesale. It was disgusting.

I stopped after that, thouroughly fed up, but returned several months later to find a new development team in charge. They promised to fix the balance issues, correct the P2W discrepencies, and create new content to give the game a future. They even created a roadmap. They had a plan! Boy were they a pack of liars. Not only did they fix absolutely NOTHING, they made the game EVEN WORSE, defying the belief it wasn't possible! Oh, they also poisoned all the monsters everyone had so they had to grind (pay) for new ones. And removed one of my favorite bosses so they could sell a P2W version which sucked. (Rest in Peace Mr. Firesly). I dare say even a pack of street scammers would have had more shame.

In the end though, I'm still sad to see the game go. It was like watching someone graduate from Harvard with an MBA and wind up a deranged homeless man living in the seweres, with no clothes, no teeth, and constantly asking passerby for food in exchange for rat droppings. But it's not the game's fault. The game had everything it needed to succeed. It simply kept getting entrusted to the wrong people, who kept constantly mugging it, pulling out teeth, and ripping off anything that made it stand out until there was nothing left. A pox on Ubisoft. The sooner that company is gone from the gaming world, the better everything will be.

I was thinking of returning for speed runs /time trials. bummers. This game offered something UNIQUE and highly innovative it sucks that they got greedy...Handled properly it could have been a great hit. Handled properly being giving the players all the things and just have us pay for cosmetics, monster/player skins.

So Cancer killed this game. Cancer and greed.

the game had so much potential.

I hope the community is happy now that their ongoing negative altitude has reached its ultimate goal. It was a fun game and I rly enjoyed tinkering on my defenses for a long time. But its so sad, that the game is gonna be dropped due to multiple reasons.
the reason for the shutdown is that ubisoft had to pay maby let´s say 1000$ cash in a day for the servers but gained just ~800 from the players so they wanted the game closed and not selled like WTF ? There were actually people who played it daly and supported the game with advertising but ubisoft ""aaaa we got the power and our customers can go now" what putted money in the game and they really think they can treat customers like this and sell there newer games i would not say i will likely buy any game from such kind of companies...

Ubisoft has always treated its customers this way. They got what they feel they can so they are going to drop it, (not that they hadn't already) just like they did with M$M 10, and Heroes VII. They are about as moneygrubbing a company you can get, and it doesn't help they're french.
