Audio in Cutscenes Out of Sync
After completing three levels of the game, each time a cutscene plays, the audio is completely mismatched. It appears that the lip syncing and talking audio is fine, however the actions (such as objects moving or footprints on a surface) are played before the action itself is preformed. It's extremely distracting when trying to follow the storyline if you hear (for example) someone hitting something before it even happens. Any ideas as to what the possibly issue is?

I have the same problem and so do many other people, it seems pretty common and at this point I'm not sure there's a fix for it - I find it really distracting as well, but I think we're gonna have to wait for a patch to resolve it.

I have Audio out of sync too, but mine is different. Instead, actions are okay, but the cutscenes where they are talking are the problem. Their lips move s few milliseconds after you hear them, (spoiler) when Erin is talking to Garrett, Garrett has to wait for Erin to not only stop speaking, but for her lips to stop moving too, so there is also a delay before you even hear Garrett start speaking. Then Garrett starts and he too is delayed. I haven't found any solutions and a lot of people appear to be suffering from it too.

Mine is fine now. I'm not sure if it was just a certain scene/chapter, or if it was because my hardware wasn't good enough, because i had bought a better Graphics Card, so that could be why. Have a look on Game Debate and where it says "Can i run Thief 2014?", enter your computer specs to see if that's the reason :) Here's the link http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=831&game=Thief%202014
