Thief crashing after 5-10 mins of gameplay

i have a problem with thief every 5-10 mins the game just crashes i cant even get thru the prolouge like it just freezes a few seconds and crashes

btw i have the recomended specs i have a gtx 680

Ignoring the really old gpu, we'd need to know the cpu as well. Since I assume its just as old as your graphics card.

i have a i5-3330 CPU its old

Well, if you are still getting crashes with everything set to low. It’s due to hardware.

That's good, should be the first thing you try. You could always mess with setting's some between low to medium should work. IMO would suggest upgrading all together.

More then a decade old. I get that computer part prices are bad, but anything within the last 5 years would be better at this point.
