haha so I'm guessing it does nothing for the sound bugs everyone has?
Ah alright. Thanks for the info.
setup is PS4->HDMI->Tuner->5.1 speakers
Tuner->HDMI->Projector
I do not know whether or not it uses true audio or not but I have definitely not encountered any of the stuff I've heard of like sounds being too "close" despite having walls in the way or anything like that.
In that case, ♥♥♥♥ knows why the audio is fine for me. Has anyone tried the PC version with actual surround sound speakers via a tuner or is everyone just using surround sound headsets? What about true surround sound vs virtual/emulated surround sound?
They did add some kind of new reverb to the game but you don't need TrueAudio to use it as it can be done on the CPU.
"True to life echoes and convolution reverb are finally available on all platforms, meaning programmers can now build these effects into their games rather than relying on basic reverbs. The types of real-world acoustic phenomena that can be faithfully reproduced are massively greater. "
"Programmable sound effects bring to audio the same kind of flexibility that programmable shaders brought to graphics. Game developers aren’t stuck with inflexible canned effects anymore. They now have the flexibility to create complex effects and acoustic environments. "
so on soforth
Trying to find out how it works, it appears the DSP on the card should get hold of the audio stream before it's sent out to your audio port, so no need to use the lame HDMI audio out on the back, just keep your existing setup.
IMO sounds are good in this game, its the mixing thats all fubar.
Your card dont support TrueAudio - TrueAudio-enabled GPU - Radeon R9 290X/290 and R7 260X
Sound crackles and completely shuts off at other parts
