I think them fixing issues that make it hard for people to play the game is the first thing they should do. Adding things that are not needed but increase the ease of use needs to come after people can play the game without issue.
You know Eidos Montreal has over 500 employees? What makes you think they couldn't both fix the game and add something that should've been in the game already? This is not about designing something completely new, the game has tracking for chapters and missions already implemented for when you first do the said chapter/mission, but after you reach the end everything vanish, making it impossible to replay anything without using a guide to get to it.
So while you might be frustrated cause you can't play the game, better not play it at all, since you'll get more frustrated having to wander around like a moron in the city for 2 hours to get somewhere you want to go.
The devs had nothing to do with this topic I posted the copied the patch notes for 1.1 and 1.2 updates from their site and posted them here because at the time when I first did it the devs didn't seem to have any presence here and many people were asking what the updates did
