Anyone else let out a loud scream when looking through the peephole you encounter when you first arrive at the aslyum? I'm scared to continue on in this chapter. It looks soooo creepy!!

I didn't even flinch, I was expecting it to use jumpscares. Actually, the whole time I was comparing it to the Cradle in my head, like how in that case, I was never dreading opening doors or using valves, because I knew the game would never take away my control or spawn enemies right behind me as a cheap scare. Here, I wasn't convinced these developers wouldn't use simple tricks like that. (If it helps at all, There are no enemies or threats that I'm aware of until you activate the generator.)

i was so uncomfortable playing this chapter, i wish it wasnt in the game :( also at some point you will see a woman at the end of a coridor *SPOILER* and she walks away the closer you get and i followed her until she went into a dark room and i was like "NOPE ♥♥♥♥ THAT" and continued the rest of the chapter :{

I am so scared to open the game xD I hate horror games and I REALLY hate jumpscares. Why the hell they though this is a good idea? Is it possible to skip a chapter?

Don't worry, there are no other forced jumpscares other than at the door. There are no enemies until you activate the generator, so there's no reason to worry until then. If you like I can give you a few other warnings in spoilers about parts where they try to startle you.

Thank you but I dont really want spoilers, I think I will just put the headset down and I will play with no sound and with subtitles.and I know the game had a jump scare also in that brotal If I recall corectly but it wasnt like in this chapter.

OMG so many scary parts I screamed and jumped on. (yes I'm a wuss for scary games) ... I'm in the basement where there are enemies. Anyone know how to kill them? Wacking them does nothing!! I just died a few times :(

There are a couple of creepy moments if you really look around the place
Hahaha, very interesting. I agree, the Asylum is rather creepy and there were certain moments that were pretty tense when I played through that part. But, as any old fan would tell you, Moira Asylum here doesn't hold a candle to the original inspiration which is the Shalebridge Cradle in Thief 3: Deadly Shadows. Go play Thief 3 and play that mission, you'll never want to sleep again.

Don't whack them, use blast and fire arrows to kill them. Most of the time, avoid them if you can.

I also started on chapter 5.... (about 2 hours ago) frankly I have "enjoyed" for the first time for fear horror game and it was not bad... the girl down the hall watching you is a classic.... but the best time in the stage of the kitchen... I literally fell off my chair!
however, I'm stuck right after the kitchen and I forgot where it went to the girl... what should I do? I should take the documents but the door is locked and I don't know what to do to unlock it ...

I just got through chapter 5. I didn't see the kitchen area... did you go in the women's ward at the start? I went to the men's side and was able to continue the story, get a key, and be on my way.

I didn't read anything above, I admit. But thank you for posting this, I'm so happy there is something creepy/scary in the game. The underground area below the Brothel was pretty good, but that's what's been missing from this game from the beginning: genuine creepiness.

(playing on my son's account)
